What determines the price: real estate, companies, blended families, disinheritance or reduction of the compulsory share. For assets in several countries, there is the international will. We quote the exact fixed price after the initial consultation.

A will in a desk drawer can be lost, damaged or fall into the wrong hands. A registered will in a bank safe cannot.
Your last will – carried out the way you wanted
The best will is of little use if no one makes sure it is followed. With several heirs, blended families, legacies or conditions, disputes, delays and compromises you never wanted arise quickly. Appoint us as executor in your will.

What does a will cost at a lawyer?
With us from € 1,200 incl. VAT for clear family situations, from € 2,500 for real estate, company shares, blended families or disinheritance, from € 4,900 for assets in several countries – each as a fixed price. You learn the price after the free initial consultation, before we start.
Does a will have to be registered?
It is not legally required. But an unregistered will can be overlooked or lost. We register your will in the Austrian Central Register of Wills (ÖZTR), which is searched in probate proceedings.
Where is my will kept?
The original is kept in our dedicated bank safe at Bank Burgenland, Goldschmiedgasse 3, 1010 Vienna. For wills we draft, registration and lifelong safekeeping are included. For wills not drafted by us, they cost a one-off € 500 incl. VAT – with no ongoing fees.
Can I change my will later?
Yes, at any time. After events such as marriage, divorce, the birth of a child or a property purchase, we recommend a review. We offer the will update for € 1,000 incl. VAT.
What does an executor do?
An executor makes sure that your last will is actually carried out: that legacies are fulfilled, conditions are met and your instructions are respected.
Do I need witnesses?
For a will that is not entirely handwritten, three witnesses present at the same time are required. We provide them when you sign at our office.
Can I make my will in my native language?
We advise you in German, English, Bulgarian, Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian. On request, we draft the will bilingually – in any language worldwide, through our partner interpreters.
What applies if I have assets abroad?
Within the EU, the law of your last habitual residence generally applies, but you can choose the law of your nationality. Countries outside the EU often apply their own law, above all to real estate. For assets in several countries, we draft an international will from € 4,900. More on this →
What is the difference between a handwritten will and a will not written by hand?
You write and sign a handwritten (holographic) will entirely by hand yourself. A will not written by hand – for example one prepared on a computer – must be signed in front of three witnesses present at the same time, with a handwritten addition stating that it contains your last will. With us, the will is signed at our office; we provide the witnesses.
